What is Electrical Acceptance Testing?

The purpose of electrical acceptance testing is to assure that all electrical equipment and systems supplied by either the contractor or owner are operational and within applicable standards and manufacturer’s published tolerances and that equipment and systems are installed in accordance with design specifications.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

Industry standards ensure the safety, reliability and quality of electrical power equipment and systems. These standards help the people responsible for the design, building, testing, and operation assure that the equipment and systems  are installed in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations, architect and engineer requirements, that they are working properly and that these systems were designed and installed with routine maintenance in mind.
